Experience New Haven Harbor like never before on board the 91-foot Schooner Quinnipiack. The Quinnipiack is a traditionally rigged sailing ship dedicated to introducing the public to the waters of New Haven Harbor and the Long Island Sound.
Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and experience the New Haven Harbor 19th century style on this harbor adventure sail.
- Get a glimpse of what's in the water- The crew will perform a 5-10 fishing trawl and showcase what they catch.
- Learn the basics of Navigation- Crew will demonstrate how they utilize charts and navigation tools the same way it has been done for hundreds of years and compare it to modern methods.
- Learn some knots- There will be lessons on how to tie some of the basic knots that sailors have used since the dawn of boating.
- Help Raise Sails- Be part of the crew as 2500 square feet of sail is set using 19th century methods.

Restrictions:
While there is no age limit, all attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All passengers, regardless of age, must have a ticket in order to attend.
Quinnipiack is a NO SMOKING wooden vessel.
Vessel is handicapped accessible, but the bathrooms are not. All ramps leading to the deck of the vessel are ADA compliant. Because of construction restrictions, the ladder to the bathrooms do not accommodate passengers with limited mobility.
